Was a Committee of Satety gunsmith. On March 7, 1776 the Committee of Safety at Williamsburg issued
a warrant to Willis fot 5 pounds, 10 shillings for guns purchased by the army. On March 25, 1776
he got a warrant for 7 pounds, 15 shillings on his account as gunsmith and for repairs to guns.
