Pond revolvers with S&W markings

.32 r.f. caliber, 6 shot single action revolver, spur trigger, 5" barrel, marked on barrel L.W. POND WORCESTER MASS.PAT JULY 10 1860 and additional marking MANUFD FOR SMITH & WESSON PATD APRIL 5, 1855.

After his loss in a patent infrigement lawsuit with Smith & Wesson / Rolin White in 1862. The remaining stock = 4486 of Pond's Revolvers was stamped as above. Smith & Wesson baught these arms at $ 7.80 and sold them for $ 12 to $ 13 depending the barrel lenght. Sales reccords were:
