Iver Johnson Botn 1841 died 1895. Norwegian citizen, learned gunsmith work in Bergen, Norway. In 1863 he emigrated to the States, arriving at Boston. He got work at the nearby Allen & Wheellock Co. in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was there where he found his futur partner, Martin Bye. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Speirs, eventually also met in Worcester.
