William Irving was figuring in Carroll's New York City business directory as Gun & Pistol Importers and with two business addresses. He was also a cutlery manufacturer and seller of household related items (most likely this was at his Pearl Street address).

About 1500 Irving revolvers were made by James Reid under contract for W.W. Marston. Not yet being sure I believe that Irving and Reid were somehow linked by family roots. .31 caliber percussion, 5 shot single action revolver, only 50 made from 1863 to 1864

The revolver is made by James Reid, New York City. In the 1860s Irving was an Agent for James Reid and W.W. Marston
