Formed by Freeman W. Hood. Hood controlled the Norwich Arms Co. and the Norwich Lock Manufacturing Co. He further had interest in the Continental Arms Co. and the Bacon Manufacturing Co.

They employed 65 hands and made about 2,500 guns a month.
