The contract was canncelled as within the delivery time which endet on September
27, 1861 no celivery was made and the production had even not started.
On May 2, 1862 Freeman again offered the revolvers but prize was too high.
The Government purchased 100 Joslyn on November 21, 1861 and further 125 on December 17, 1861 from Bruff, Brother & Saver, New York. Probably they were made by Freeman.
Later purchase of the Government were direclty from Joslyn.
