Decendant of Mary Ferree, who arrived accompagned by his son Daniel and her son-in-law Isaac Lefevre
in Pennsylvania in 1712. Joel was the firs gunsmith of the family (tax records). In 1775 he manufactured
guns for the Revolution. Joel decided thad his property in Leacock would passed over to his son Isaac whereas the property in Peter's Creek, Allegheny County would gone to his son-in-law, Jacob Ferree. |
