Bedford County gunsmith. His parents would have been Jacob Detwiler and Mary Susannah Wenger. Anthony Detwiler was
born August 20, 1810 and died June 19, 1893 at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 29 days and is buried in the Holsinger
Cemetery near Baker's Summit, Bedford County. Anthony Titwiller is enumerated as a 40 year old gunsmith in the 1850 census of Huston Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania. Living in the same household are 33 year old Susan Titwiller. their children were: George Titwiller, 18, Mary Titwiller, 15, Peter Titwiller, 13, Joseph Titwiller, 10, Catherine Titwiller, 8, Anthony Titwiller, 6, John Titwiller, 4, and Peggy Titwiller, 2, all Pennsylvania-born.
