John Derr also known as Johannes Derr made rifles, smooth bore guns and pistols as well as swivel rifles. Kentucky rifles and Pistols. He was active from 1800 until 1850. Most of his guns are signed either with a stamp "John Dare" or in script "John Derr, Oley Valley" on the top of the barrel. It is said that he apprenticed under Henry Mauger. His standard patch box is similar to Mangers.
