Daniel Croll, born August 29, 1776 in Reamstown, Lancaster or Upper Salford, Montogmery county, Pennsylvania died June 5, 1853 at Trappe Montgomery county Pennsylvania. He was married to Hannah (birthday is unknown, died January 17, 1849. They had two sons, Philip (1800-1854) and Henry (only date of death January 23, 1825 is known.

Daniel Croll owned the Keyser's Mill in Montgomery county, located on Skippack Creek Road and Germantown Pike, is a four-story structure located adjacent to the Creek. In 1849 it was a grist mill which Daniel Croll granted to Jacob (one of Daniel Croll's brothers) and his son Philip Croll.
