Coutty was a private maker of guns during the Revolution he was working as a repairman for the Commenwolth of Pennsylvania. .58 caliber flintlock, single shot pistol, smoothbore, round or octagon barrel marked PHILADELPHIA. The lock is marked COUTTY. Such guns were privatly purchased by offisers during ehe Revolution war.
